What Is Counselling?
An exploration, understanding, and learning of ways to deal with concerns that arise in life. The counsellor is bound by a code of ethics to ensure the counselling services given are held up to a professional moral standard.
One person (the counsellor) helping free another person (the client) from the difficulties he or she faces in life. It is a confidential meeting between two people weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on the needs of the client.
During each session, the client discusses his or her struggles either mentally, physically, or a combination there of, and together the counsellor and client work to set and achieve goals for the client.

Confidentiality is essential as it ensures your security as a client and fosters trust and respect within the counselling relationship.
