The Lancaster University Management School
The Lancaster University was founded in 1964. The Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is located on Lancaster's Bailrigg Campus, one of the 3 faculties found in the University, approximately 3 miles south of Lancaster city center.

In 2005, LUMS had 104 faculty members, including 34 professors, recognized internationally for the quality of their teaching and research. The Management School has 3498 graduate students and 1501 postgraduate students currently registered on its programs. LUMS international students constitute 58% of the University's international students making LUMS a cosmopolitan studying environment

In the Management School you'll find exceptional expertise and a high value placed on building and nurturing effective relationships. In recent years, the work LUMS has done with the Executive Education has been highly innovative and often groundbreaking. This was achieved by customizing executive and leadership programs around the needs of a particular business.

In the United Kingdom, a six-star business school is one that is judged by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to be a center of world class research in business and management. LUMS is one of only two business schools that have met these rigorous standards. Six-star status acknowledges that the Management School has sustained five-star outputs for the last two RAEs.

Additionally, in June 2003 LUMS was awarded full EQUIS accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development, for meeting the international standards of excellence.

Furthermore, for many years the Lancaster MBA has been accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the world's only international accreditation system for MBA programs.
